Spacebook 0400 is a collective blog for creatives, who will create work in a monthly theme. Besides world domination the goal of this blog is having fun and some room to experiment.

Well, here's my Yeti. It's about 33 cm high (40 cm, with his arms stretched) and made of stuffed animal stuff (don't really know the names of the different kind of fabrics...)  :)

And as a bonus the panel that didn't work as intended.
It would have been the first panel but the strip would become too long for the blog so it got dropped. Would be a shame not to share it though.

Papilio Cafearius Punctum

The Papilio Cafearius Punctum is a butterfly commonly seen near coffee plants. They are attracted by the smell of it and use the plant as food for their larvae. The caffeine in the coffee 'beans'  is a natural defense of the plant and toxic to many creatures. The Papilio Cafearius Punctum, however, thrives upon it and experiences the same effects as humans do. They get energized by it, but also addicted to it...or so i'd imagine  : p

Stripes reminded me of a poster I designed not so long ago for EGG. EGG was going to be a New

The first one

Welcome to the first post on spacebook 0400. We thought it would be fun to start off by boring you to death by explaining the plan.

What the …?
The way this works is as follows; this is a collective blog for creatives and every month we will post a theme. This theme will result in free work that will be posted on this blog. The plan is to give some room to experiment and to have fun. On this blog we do what we want or what we've always liked to try, without any kind of pressure... We are painters, sculptors, illustrators, graphic designers and photographers and we hope to expand the group even more!

And what the ...?
Our first theme is, of course, Spacebook 0400. We need some art for the title of our blog . The name spacebook is a combination of the 2 biggest social network sites. But it could be so much more. The numbers point to 4 a.m.(inspired by the TED speech Rives on 4 a.m.), but again, could be something else...whatever makes your boat float (or makes your spaceship...boldly go where no man has gone before).

Size is free, tools are free, ect, ect. But remember this is a blog so work for the monitor. And it can be anything, so have fun!

deadline: end of february
